Najwa Foundation

Helping Kids And Women In Need

Who We Are

Najwa Foundation is a 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit organization that works to help women and children in conflict areas in Sudan, Chad, and refugee camps in other regions by providing food items, water, medicine, shelter, clothing and shoes.

When we support one another, there’s no limit to what we can do.

We’re proud to be a part of the community, serving those who have been through enough.

Our targeted population: Women, elderly and children in conflict areas in Western Sudan, Chad, and refugee camps.

What We Do

Alleviating the suffering of the poor by providing food, clothes and many supplies that are necessary for daily uses. The smallest things will create a HUGE impact.

Creating educational institutions for children because they are the future.  Young and grown women will get information and supplies to take care of themselves and raise a family.

Practicing new techniques to make daily activities and work for people easier. Eliminating hard activities for elderly individuals and young children will give them more.

Fixing shelters and water holes in rural communities and refugee camps. We will make sure that everyone has access to clean, drinkable water. We also want to make sure that life is sustainable for younger kids and elders who are in need.

Want To Know More About Najwa Foundation?

Najwa Foundation was founded by Najwa Adam in order to address the crucial, immediate, and continuous needs of the women and children victims of The Darfur Genocide in Western Sudan, Chad, and refugee camps.

Known as the first genocide of the 21st century, in 2003, the mass killings of Darfuri people erupted, targeting Darfuri men, women, and children from Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa tribes. Continuing today, the genocide has claimed some 400,000 lives. Over 2,500,000 million people have been displaced from their homes and families. Over one million children have been “killed, raped, wounded, displaced, traumatized, or endured the loss of parents and families” (Reeves, Eric).

100 people die each day, and 5,000 lives are taken each month, yet much of the world remains unaware, or its attention has turned to other matters, other conflicts.

As survivors of the Darfur Genocide, Najwa Adam and her family have an in-depth understanding of the harsh ramifications of the genocidal violence and severe conditions of refugee camps, and a mission to shed light on the recurring matters.
